The Protea Veterans Over-40s cricket team will proudly represent South Africa at the inaugural IMC Over-40s T20 World Cup, taking place in Karachi, Pakistan from 18 November to 01 December 2025. Led by Captain Yasser Ditta, the South African veterans will go head-to-head with 11 other nations in this fast-paced and historic T20 spectacle, the first of its kind at Over-40s level.

The South Africa squad for the IMC Over-40s T20 World Cup, taking place in Karachi, Pakistan, from November 21 to December 1, 2025, has been announced by the Veterans Cricket Association of South Africa (VCASA). Yasser Ditta will serve as captain, with Johan Fourie as vice-captain.

The team carries the pride and momentum of South Africa’s recent international successes following in the footsteps of the Proteas Women, who were runners-up at the ICC Women’s World Cup in India and building on the legacy of the Proteas Veterans Over-40s ODI side, who were crowned champions of the IMC Over-40s ODI World Cup 2024 in Cape Town.
That historic ODI triumph ignited national pride across generations and now, the T20 squad aims to raise the flag even higher.
VCASA is proud to announce its Proteas Veterans Over-40s T20 squad for the inaugural International Masters Cricket (IMC) Over-40s T20 World Cup to be held in Karachi, Pakistan from 01–13 December 2025.
The team will be led by Yasser Ditta of the Lions who takes the reins as captain. Johan Fourie of the Eastern Storm joins him as part of the leadership team as Vice Captain. Both players were pivotal members of the triumphant South African squad that clinched the IMC Over-40s ODI World Cup title
in Cape Town in 2024 and now return to lend their leadership and experience to the Proteas Veterans T20 campaign.
Also returning from the World Cup-winning squad are Werner Moolman (Western Province), Jaco Castle (Western Province) and Lundi Mbane (Border).
